I just ordered Metzeler ME880 front and rear tires for what seems to be a very low price of $183 US from www.mawonline.com. The local shop wanted almost that much for the rear tire alone. The guy at the shop was concerned that the tires might be too "heavy-duty" to be sticky, but I hope that's not the case.
Buying new tires led me to wonder about tubes, so I'll ask what might be the stupid question of the week: other than for a puncture or other damage, do you need to change the tubes? If so, how often?
